GNOMUS goes 1-on-1 with Coach Pioli

Coach Pioli is in her first season as an assistant women's basketball coach at Pitt-Greensburg. She's no stranger to the Bobcats, however, as she was a four-year member of our squad. A great shooter, Brooke holds Pitt-Greensburg's single season and the AMCC single season record for three point percentage - 47.3%.

GNOMUS: Since you work at Dunkin Donuts, what is your favorite donut?
Coach Pioli: Pittsburgh Creme

GNOMUS: What is your favorite memory of the year?
Coach Pioli: Courtney getting chased down the steps at W&J.


GNOMUS: What is your favorite "Eatonism"?
Coach Pioli: All of the comments directed at "Skel".


GNOMUS: Where do you hope to see yourself in five years?
Coach Pioli: With a big girl job, coaching somewhere.


GNOMUS: If you did not play basketball, what sport would you play?
Coach Pioli: Soccer...I played it before high school.


GNOMUS: Who is your role model?
Coach Pioli: My parents - they taught me how to be a hard worker.

GNOMUS: Which player do you make fun of the most?
Coach Pioli: "Skel"


GNOMUS: What's is your profile picture on Facebook right now?
Coach Pioli: Me, my gram, and my pap on my senior day in high school.

GNOMUS: Why do you love to coach?
Coach Pioli: To teach players stuff I learned along the way, to help players get through college, and to prepare players for the real world.

Coach Pioli: Tennessee Volunteers - I'd love to meet Pat Summit.

GNOMUS goes 1-on-1 with #22 Lexi Elliott

Lexi has started 19 of the 23 games shes's played in this season, including the last 14 games in a row. She is averaging 8.0 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game, while cashing in on 35% of her three ball attempts. Lexi scored a career high 22 points twice this season, and she was named the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcat Player of the Week back in December.




GNOMUS: Let's keep it simple to start...What's your favorite color?
LE: Blue

GNOMUS: Do you have a favorite band or artist?
LE: Not really...I listen to everything.


GNOMUS: If your I-POD got stuck on replay, what song would be playing over and over again?
LE: "Whatever It Is" - Zac Brown Band

GNOMUS: Do you have any nicknames?
LE: "Lex" and "Zona"

GNOMUS: Which one is your favorite, and why?
LE: "Lex" because it's short and easy, and that's all I've ever been called.

GNOMUS: Why do you wear #22?
LE: I picked #22 because #21 was taken.

GNOMUS: What is your favorite "Eatonism"?
LE: All of the road rage comments Coach made while driving us to the W&J Tournament.

GNOMUS: What's your favorite thing about Pitt-Greensburg?
LE: It's easy to get to everything - the buildings are really close together.

GNOMUS: What is the funniest thing that has happened all season?
LE: Glover getting into a fight with her roommate.
  
GNOMUS: If you had to write a book about the team, what would it be called?
LE: The Wonderful Life of the Bobkitties

GNOMUS goes 1-on-1 with #25 Hannah Falcsik

Hannah had a great first semester with our program, starting 9 of the 10 games she played in. She was averaging 10.5 points per game, 8.2 rebounds per game, and had already blocked 21 shots at the semester break. We are all hopeful that with an increased commitment to her academics, Hannah will be back in uniform for us next season.

HF: Purple

GNOMUS: Do you have a favorite band or artist?
HF: Drake

GNOMUS: If your I-POD got stuck on replay, what song would be playing over and over again?
HF: "Ain't No Way" - Chris Brown

GNOMUS: Do you have any nicknames?
HF: "Lil' Nugget" and "Han"

GNOMUS: Which one is your favorite, and why?
HF: "Lil' Nugget" because I called someone a lil' nugget and now everyone calls me that.

GNOMUS: Why do you wear #25?
HF: It's the number I wore throughout high school and AAU.

GNOMUS: What is your favorite "Eatonism"?
HF: "When you were whomping around in the backcourt".

GNOMUS: What's your favorite thing about Pitt-Greensburg?
HF: I like how small the campus is and how you pretty much know everyone, and everyone is friends with each other.

GNOMUS: What is the funniest thing that has happened all season?
HF: Glover being "dead" over by the clock throughout every practice.
  
GNOMUS: If you had to write a book about the team, what would it be called?
HF: No Pain, No Gain

GNOMUS goes 1-on-1 with #2 Kayla Golden

Kayla is in her first year with our program. She is a solid on the ball defender and gives us a much needed spark off our bench. At any point in the game, Kay is playing just as hard if not harder than anyone else on the floor.

KG: Blue

GNOMUS: Do you have a favorite band or artist?
KG: No, I just like Hip Hop and Country

KG: No

GNOMUS: Why do you wear #2?
KG: I wanted #3, but it was taken, so I took #2 because it was the closest number available.

KG: Everything Coach says to Morgan.

GNOMUS: What's your favorite thing about Pitt-Greensburg?
KG: The Pitt degree we earn, and all of the friends I've made.

KG: When Coach Eaton was chasing Courtney down the stairs and Courtney said - "Kayla Runnnnn..."

GNOMUS Goes 1-on-1 with #13 Brittany Butterworth

Brittany is our starting point guard, and she is the only player on our team to start every game this season. She is leading the AMCC in assists per game, dishing out 3.5 assists per contest. Britt is the best on the ball defender on our squad and her 3.5 rebounds per game average in third on our team stat chart.

BB: Green

GNOMUS: Do you have a favorite band or artist?
BB: Boyce Avenue

BB: "Shot For Me" - Drake

BB: "Butters", "Butternuts", "Britt", "Bert" and lots more...

GNOMUS: Which one is your favorite, and why?
BB: "Butters" because I got it when I came to Pitt-Greensburg.

GNOMUS: Why do you wear #13?
BB: The number has been in my family since FOREVER and it's LUCKY.

GNOMUS: What is your favorite "Eatonism"?
BB: "We can't even drink water right."

GNOMUS: What's your favorite thing about Pitt-Greensburg?
BB: Basketball and the new people I've met.

BB: Morgan...just Morgan

GNOMUS Goes 1-on-1 with #35 Morgan Biddle

Morgan has had a breakout second semester for our squad, averaging 11.2 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game since our contest versus Franciscan on January 4th, 2012. Over the course of the past 13 games, Mo has started 9 contests, and earned five double-doubles. She was named the AMCC Player of the Week on January 16 for her efforts.


GNOMUS: Let's keep it simple to start...What's your favorite color?
MB: Yellow

GNOMUS: Do you have a favorite band or artist?
MB: Nope - I can't pick favorites.

GNOMUS: If your I-POD got stuck on replay, what song would be playing over and over again?
MB: "One and Only" - Adele

GNOMUS: Do you have any nicknames?
MB: "Skel", "Sloth", and "Shmordan"

GNOMUS: Which one is your favorite, and why?
MB: "Shmordan" because my brother Connor calls me "Mordan" and the team changed it to "Shmordan"

GNOMUS: Why do you wear #35?
MB: My mom picked that number for me in third grade, and I haven't changed it since.

GNOMUS: What is your favorite "Eatonism"?
MB: When I said "Come on white", and Coach was on the white team and said "Really, are you going to tell me to come on?!"

GNOMUS: What's your favorite thing about Pitt-Greensburg?
MB: It's a small campus and I know everyone.

GNOMUS: What is the funniest thing that has happened all season?
MB: When Kayla Golden backed up at the end of the half and tried to "Tom Brady" it to the hoop.
  
GNOMUS: If you had to write a book about the team, what would it be called?
MB:  Shmoach Shmeaton and the Shmobshnats

DiBridge named AMCC Player of the Week & Bobcat Player of the Week


Court was named this week's AMCC Player of the Week after averaging 21.5 points per game, 5.0 assists per game, and 3.5 rebounds per game last week. On Wednesday against Mount Aloysius, Court scored a career high 21 points, shooting 7-16 from the floor, including 4-8 from deep. On Saturday, she reset her career high with a 22 point performance in a playoff clinching win over D'Youville College.

For the week, Court shot 43.8% from the field, 44.4% from 3 point land, and a perfect 100% from the FT line. In 78 minutes of action, many of them seen at the point guard position, Court handed out 10 assists and only turned the ball over three times, including zero turnovers on Saturday. This morning, she was named Pitt-Greensburg's SAAC Bobcat Player of the Week for her efforts.

CONGRATS CASEY!!!

Back on Wednesday, January 25 at La Roche College, senior Casey Stanton became the 8th player in program history to score 1,000 points. The more amazing feat, however, is that Casey notched the milestone in only 70 career games, making her the fastest player to 1,000 in program history.

Following this amazing accomplishment, Casey had a monster game against Hilbert College on Saturday, January 28th, recording her 10th double-double of the season, with 23 points and 11 rebounds. On the week, she averaged 18.5 ppg and 7.0 rpg while shooting 50% from 3 point land. For her efforts, she was named this week's Pitt-Greensburg SAAC Bobcat Player of the Week.
