Bobkities Take on Bermuda

Our June 2014 Foreign Tour to Bermuda created memories that will last a lifetime! For me personally this was a test since it was my first chance coming back from injury. Our trip was more then just basketball games we learned about their customs and the island’s history. This made me appreciate the way they live even more. I was so surprised with how happy EVERYONE was but then again if I were living there I’d probably be a friendlier person too.

I enjoyed wearing bucket hats and unicorn searching with Megan and team trips to the various beaches. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity that I was lucky enough to experience with my amazing teammates and coaching staff. I'm glad I got to help Bermuda in the hopes of bringing more awareness to women's basketball.

Bermuda!

Hey everyone! My name is Casey Hamilton and I wear #42. I’ll be a sophomore this year.

Our trip to Bermuda was amazing! Everyone had such a great time and we all became so much closer. Some of my favorite memories were the ferry ride, starting a dance party in the resort, and the sight-seeing! Bermuda was absolutely gorgeous and all of the people were so friendly.

The beaches of Bermuda were so beautiful! The water was so clear and the pink sand was awesome! We visited different beaches including Horseshoe Bay and Elbow Beach, as well as enjoying the beach in front of our resort. All three were gorgeous and we all had so much fun!

Playing against the Bermuda select team was an amazing experience. I am so grateful to our coaches for giving the Bobkitties the awesome opportunity to play in a foreign country!

The Bobkitties had a great time and we all became closer because of this trip. Traveling to Bermuda was an amazing opportunity that I will never forget!

Bermuda Living

Hi everyone! My name is Emily Nelson and #2 on the team. I am going to be a junior this year! Our trip to Bermuda was something I will never forget. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced! It was such a great opportunity to travel to such a beautiful place with the team. Not everyone is lucky enough to get to experience such a great thing! Some of my favorite memories were visiting all the beautiful beaches, climbing the cliffs, kayaking and just spending time at the beach with all my teammates. Playing against and getting to know the other team was awesome as well. Overall the whole entire trip was amazing spent with my Bobkitties! We all became so close and grew as a team. I can’t wait for this upcoming season to start!!

BERMUDA!!!!

Hey everyone! It’s Megan Hans #25 and we survived the Bermuda triangle!!! The moment we left UPG to travel to the airport began our AMAZING trip to Bermuda.  It was such an amazing opportunity to travel with the team to such a small, beautiful island.  Some of my favorite memories were exploring different beaches, touring the exotic island, and having the best omelets in the world at the Grotto Bay Resort. I also loved working the clinic, and meeting and playing against the Bermuda National team. I have so many great memories of “Day 4” that will last a lifetime thanks to the best team in the world!

This trip has brought the female Bobcat family so close together. I can’t wait for the season to begin. I couldn’t thank the coaching staff enough for this amazing experience and I hope everyone had a great TRIP…. See you in the FALL.

Bermuda, Bahama, Come on pretty MAMA

Hey everyone I'm Morgan, #35, a Biology major, and officially a SENIOR and proud member of the Bobcats squad.

Since we've gotten home from our foreign tour to BERMUDA, people have asked me how my trip was and I say awesome every time. I had so much fun while we were there. Everything about the trip was amazing from the hotel, to the team bonding, to the games, and learning about the island, I wish it never ended.

My favorite parts of the trip have to be when the team was at Horseshoe Bay Beach and when we went out to dinner as a team in St. George. Both places were beautiful and I felt like the team had the most fun together as a unit while we were there.

From this trip I have gained even more motivation to come back ready for next season and to make my and the other 5 seniors last season the most successful and memorable one of all.
