Yesterday Mo was in the office doing some homework and listening to music on her laptop. After a few of what my players would consider "old-school" rap songs came on, she asked me if I liked 2Pac or Biggie. She seemed shocked that the answer was yes. I was shocked that it was even a question - 2Pac is my favorite rapper of all time, with Biggie being a close second.
After learning that some of our players enjoy the occasional 2Pac or Biggie song, I decided to take a poll of the team and coaching staff on what their favorite 'Summer Song' or the song that got the most play on their I-Pod during summer vacation was. And the results were....

After seeing the above list and not recognizing half the artists, I've decided that I'm officially old. The girls' reaction to the fact that I like 2PAC and Biggie meant they already knew that. I tried to explain that it's actually more acceptable for me to like them considering I wasn't three or four years old (as they were) when 2PAC and Biggie were alive.
Who knows, though, maybe it was all a dream, they were in preschool reading Word Up magazine...
