First, and foremost, I would like to thank Kayla Golden's family for letting me share this Thanksgiving with them. Since I live so far away I don't get to share this Thanksgiving with my family and The Golden's welcomed me with open arms. I give a lot of thanks to them for that.
What I am most thankful for is my family. They have been my biggest support system from day one. My older brothers gave me that competitive edge to do the best and try to be the best in everything I do. They always made me want to be better than they were. :) And my parents... they are some of the hardest working people I know. From my mom working three jobs at one point to help out financially and my dad working out of state and away from home for two years now to help out, they have done everything they can for me and my brothers, putting the three of us before anything else in their lives. I don't know how i could ever thank them enough. And I'm thankful for the wonderful women my brothers have found to be a part of the Elliott family, Chelsea and Hailee.
I am also thankful for the opportunity to play basketball at the college level. If it weren't for my high school coaches, Coach O'Connor and Coach Mike, believing in me, my parents believing in me and telling me to always work hard, and my brothers being my motivation, I would have never been able to get to this level with the short amount of time I have played. And I'm thankful for Coach Eaton and Coach Pioli for giving me this chance and believing in my ability.
